Team Nigeria is officially in game mode as the road to the Global Esports Games (GEG) heats up. With qualifiers set to begin February 7, 2026, there’s a growing buzz across Nigeria’s esports scene—especially within the DOTA and Clash Royale communities.
This year, the Global Esports Federation (GEF) confirmed DOTA and Clash Royale as the only two game titles for the upcoming Mumbai Games, raising the stakes and focus for competitors worldwide. For Team Nigeria, it’s all about preparation, precision, and punching a ticket to the world finals.
DOTA Team Ready to Make a Statement
Leading the charge is Kevin Duerst, better known in-game as KingKevD, captain of the Nigeria DOTA team. Confident and composed, KingKevD believes the squad has put in the work and is fully prepared to secure qualification.
“We’ve trained hard, stayed focused, and we’re ready to compete at the highest level,” he shared, expressing confidence in his teammates and their chances.
The full Nigeria DOTA roster includes:
Kevin Duerst – KingKevD
Tana Ayo-Ogbor – BigDaddyHadez
Faith Udoh – r3dmau5
Arinze Edwin Aniezue – W3ed

More Than Just a Tournament
The Mumbai 2025 Global Esports Games World Finals is shaping up to be more than just competition. Described by the GEF as a celebration of excellence, diversity, and fair play, the event will bring together elite athletes, teams, and member federations from across the globe.
The World Finals are scheduled to take place in Mumbai, India, from February 26 to March 1, 2026, marking another major milestone for global esports—and a huge opportunity for Team Nigeria to shine on the world stage.
As qualifiers begin, all eyes are on Team Nigeria. The grind is real, the energy is high, and the mission is clear: qualify, represent, and make history.
